is anyone good at Cryptic Clues

anyone good with cryptic clues i am stuck on this the clue is related to a sound

i spent an hour trying to find the anwser so far i think it is a pool table i know i am wrong

Hmm. I really don't know. But, here just a guess. Is it '-tract' or 'track'?

jog = jogging track
hit = contract
8 = 8 track (cassette)
delivery = as in route
subtract = has '-tract'
shock = contract as in come together
Fall = seasonal cycle
duck = seasonal flight cycle
nipple = protract, draw out
vegetable = I dunno
