got it down
Would you tell me whether I am right about my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?
You show me something in a lab once, and I got it down.
get down = describe in writing;
got it down = if a person has “got it down,” they have mastered a particular topic or piece of information received in written form.
Thanks for your efforts.
Re: got it down
If someone says "let me get that down," it generally means that they want to put something in writing.
