Hi,
What type of noun would the word "SIN" be categorised as?
eg. Greed and Hatred are two deadly sins.
Is it a common noun or abstract noun?
Thanks.
Hello,
The noun "sin" is an abstract noun. The word "abstract" means, existing in thought or theory. The objects abstract nouns represent are not concrete. That is, you can't touch them like you can touch a "table" or a "book" for example, which are concrete or common nouns.
All the best,
Cas

All nouns are either concrete or abstract. Common nouns are "common" because they are not "special" enough to have proper names. In other words, they are not capitalized.
