Default What part does this word modify?

Please help me!

Literally thousands of incredibly talented individuals from more than a hundred disciplines have proudly worn the title “Imagineer.”

Which does the word "literally" modify, only "thousands..." or both of "thousands..." and "more than a hundred..."?

Interesting question. I'll take the conservative view and say 'thousands' only. It's conceptually difficult for me to imagine 'literally... more than'.
