destroy or harm

Please check the following sentences. Which is acceptable, or better ?

(1) I value our friendship so dearly that I would never let anything come between us.
(2) I value our friendship so dearly that I would never let anything destroy our companionship.
(3) I value our friendship so dearly that I would never let anything harm our relationship.

"harm" means to damage something, which could range from mild to severe damage.
"destroy" means to damage something so severely that it becomes useless or nonexistent.

I revised #2 and #3 by putting the word "derail" to replace "destroy" and "harm" as written. Are they acceptable?

(a) I value our friendship so dearly that I would never let anything derail our companionship.

(b) I value our friendship so dearly that I would never let anything derail our relationship.
