    what does mean "to be hosted by"?

    (sentence: Can you be hosted by a student of the opposite sex?)

    Host(ed) means to give entertainment to. similar to visit but you also stay the night someone's house.

    Are you willing to stay with someone who is a boy, if you are a girl? Are you willing to stay with someone who is girl, if you are a boy?
    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    You could be, either with or without (financial) reward.You could be a lodger (the student owns a house and you rent a room).
