It was or It is + present perfect
Is there any difference in meaning between the following two sentences?
1) It was the best experience I have had in my life.
2) It is the best experience I have had in my life.
Thanks

You don't have to use present perfect tense.
1) It was the best experience I (have) had in my life. talking about a past experience
2) It is the best experience I (have) had in my life. could be talking about the present or the past
Thanks
