Please let me know is this a correct sentence or not

"We didn't performed the activity cause we were pre-informed regarding the same."

The above sentence which i need to use in my day to day life . A scenario is my client ask to stop the perticular activity for a time .
and I am informing other people that why i am not performing that activity
from these sentece.

Also correct me if i am wrong on any of the above line .
