It's possible to say anything you feel like saying. Why should you want to, when Rover and I have told you what normal usage is?

AmE and BE as in "I've got to go to the hospital" or "I've got to go to hospital"?
Well the Corpus of Contemporary American gives 699 citations for 'go to church', and just 35 for 'go to the church', so I shouldn't think so.
I've been googling
If you don't want to believe us, why don't you just google in the first place? and here is what I've come across.
"HE really wants to get married in the church, and he's already said he doesn't, then I'll do it, but I know it is what THEY want, not HIM".
In the above given sentence it's "in the church" not "in church"
