pit-pit; back; pit-cuff
Hello,
I am trying to figure out the measurements of a shawl collar RL pullover and I have found these:
XL
pit-pit: 24"
back: 26.5"
pit-cuff: 21"
Pit-pit?
Back?
Pit-cuff?
How should one understand these?
Gracias!

pit-pit: 24" Armpit to armpit (width of chest).
back: 26.5" Length of back (collar to hem)
pit-cuff: 21" Armpit to cuff (length of arm).

Re: pit-pit; back; pit-cuff
I'm guessing:
pit-pit: armpit to armpit (across the back)
back: Length of back (from lower edge of collar , if there is one) down to bottom of garment
pit-cuff: armpit to end of sleeve
Still guessing:
pit would be the lower part of the hole in the garment through which the arm goes; presumably shoulder would be the upper part.

My guess for pit-pit was across the back; bhaisa's was across the front.
Were you also guessing, bhaisa, or do you know?

Most off-the-peg garments are tailored so that they are symmetrical, and so measurement across the back and across the front should be the same.

Well, it was an educated guess. I have a friend in India who is a tailor and, as far as I remember, he always takes it across the front of a garment.
