Default 'equip a computer with a software'?

    Hi,
Can a computer be equipped with an anti-virus?

    Thanks.

    "with an anti-virus feature/anti-virus software/an anti-virus capability" etc.

I am not an English teacher, but a computer can be equipped with anti-virus software or an anti-virus program.

Question Re: 'equip a computer with a software'?

Thanks to you dear posters. Is there any more informal, or common term used instead of equip? How about kitting it out with ...?

    Cheers!

I think the verb install is used more commonly than equip in this context.

Anti-virus software is the ideal term.

    So,

A computer can have anti-virus software installed.

You can also use "preinstalled" or "preloaded" instead.

The computer is preinstalled/preloaded with antivirus software.

    The hyphens "-" are optional.
