I habe been reading the sentence below and I think It isn’t written correctly.

The delivery time is valid in case if contract will be signed till 14.01.2011.


I would change it into:

In case the contract is signed till 14.01.2011 the delivery time is valid.

Am I right in my guess?.

Would it also be correct to write:

In case the contract will be signed till 14.01.2011 the delivery time is valid.

Write it like this: "If the contract is signed by 14.01.2011, the delivery time is valid". I'm not sure what is meant by "the delivery time is valid" though.

Do not confuse in case and if.

1. I will take my umbrella in case it rains.
2. I will take my umbrella if it rains.

In #1, the speaker will take his umbrella so that he is prepared for rain.It may not rain, but that is not important.

In #2, the speaker will take his umbrella only if it rains. If it doesn't rain, he weill not take his umbrella.
