Could you help me understand the meaning of these jobs:

- "Bellman Receptionist"
- "Desk clerk"
Could you tell me the meaning and usage of these questions:

- "What difference does it make?"

I think it means "Do you have a phone nearby, can I call to you"?

The bellmen are the liveried members of a hotel's staff who move the guests' luggage. They are called this because they are customarily summoned to their task by a hand bell rung by a desk clerk. The bell captain is the manager of this staff. The bellman receptionist is the member of this staff who greets the guests when they arrive. The desk clerk is the person or persons at a hotel who work at the main (front) desk.
On the phone means using (talking on) the phone.
