is this sentence correct?
Hi everyone! Can I use "holding" like this in the following sentence?
I would like to seek a position in the following Eru Logistics training that the American Red Cross will be holding on October 7th, 2011.
Thank you.

This looks fine to me apart from the use of 'following'. I think it is more likely you mean 'approaching' or 'next' (but can't say for sure without more detail on the context). I also don't know what 'Eru Logistics training' is, and wonder whether it should be 'ERU Logistics training course' or something like that?
Hope this helps

Reason: Substituted 'course' for 'event'
