    Hi, I have a few questions, could you try to answer them, please?

    1) He dived INTO the water. ß is it right preposition?



    2) He sent me a picture of HIMSLEF. ß is the sentence right?



    3) I want you to be painted by MYSELF. ß is it right?



    4) One thing that really surprised me WERE so many cyclists.



    5) He said the city IS/WAS/? very beautiful and that we SHOULD HAVE SEEN it. ß is it right? Should I use rather IS or WAS? Or is it up to me?

    =>Note, "one thing" is the subject and it's singular, so the verb should also be singular, "was".


    5a) He said the city IS (it's a fact) . . .
    5b) He said the city WAS (at the time of his visit) . . .
