What is the meaning of "corner" in:
A: MICKY HAS A CHANCE TO DO SOMETHING THAT I NEVER DID. AND HE NEEDS ME.
B: OKAY, I'LL SEE YOU AT MICKY'S CORNER.
That was a part from the movie "The Fighter" 2010
Can we say it means "I'll see you where Micky are"????
Thanks a lot.
This relates to a street corner or junction. That may be the actual name but is more likely to be a corner where Mickey can usually be found, or one where it is remembered for some occasion to do with Mickey.
Without seeing that film I cannot add more.
In boxing each fighter has his own corner - there being four corners to a boxing ring. The other two corners do not 'belong' to either fighter. The fighter's seconds, promoter and others may congregate at that corner until the fight or next round starts.
I'll see you at Mickey's corner.
