What is the meaning of "came to me" in the following context:

Are you sure it wasn't "came to be atrocious"? - as in, "became atrocious in the way you were acting."

context like what? There are 4 girls in car. One of them said that. That was the begining of the scene. I wish I can provide more context.

Can atrocious ny anymeans mean "out of fashion" or something. I think She was refering to their look because they were going to New York to attend fashion week.

The girl seems to be referring to some kind of behavior, am I right? How did or do other girls, especially Kendra, behave? Did they say something nasty?

PS: I answered before the last post appeared. That's what I meant by more context. I don't know the answer though.

If I heard it in a context where it seemed to make sense to the speaker, I'd assume it meant 'came across to me as atrocious', that is 'seemed to me to be/struck me as atorcious'. But it's not a pair of ellipses that I've ever met - sometimes the 'as' is ellipted, but not - in my experience - the 'across'.
