orderly/ disorderly
Dear teachers,
Would you share with me your opinion concerning the interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentences?
The books were ranged alphabetically on the orderly shelves.
We have to keep an orderly desk
orderly = clean or organized, well arranged; in good order; tidy, as an orderly room
An orderly crowd confronted the president.
orderly = peaceful, well behaved, as an orderly crowd
The disorderly crowd straggled in the direction of the President’s residence..
disorderly = Undisciplined and unruly, completely unordered, unpredictable, and confusing
He was arrested for disorderly conduct.
disorderly conduct = any act of molesting, interrupting, hindering, agitating, or arousing from a state of repose or otherwise depriving inhabitants of the peace and quiet to which they are entitled

Each of the definitions you have copied are appropriate for the examples you have supplied.
