Would you please tell me the difference between these two sentences? I mean what`s the difference between (do you ever feel) and (have you ever felt)?

1)Do you ever feel your efforts go unnoticed?
2)Have you ever felt your efforts go unnoticed?

The second frefers to the past, without implying it could happen again. The first suggests an unfinished pattern that may carry on into the future.
