    Dear Teacher:

    I am not quite sure about the meaning of the second sentence. Would you please give me a hand?

    He closed his eyes. The lashes made a dark curved fringe above the hollows of his cheeks.

    His eyes were closed gently, and his long eyelashes rested above his high cheekbones. This seems to be depicting the man as very attractive and sexy.
