Default Re: CHAINS & CHOICE IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE

Chains are the links that are necessary to create larger units, which could be phonological, at the lowest level, or grammatical. Choices are the different possibilities we have in a chain- adjective + noun is a chain, but we have a choice of adjective. Given that chains could be anything from combinations of letters, to every grammatical construction, there would be a huge number.
