Arrow paid or laid

caio,

I am slightly confused about which verb to use in a sentence as:


Within this analysis, a special attention is paid or laid on the ...bla bla

I'm not sure about "laid on", but I guess with "paid" u should always use "to":
pay attention to...

BTW it's "ciao" not "caio"-no hard feelings, maybe you've just mistyped it
