Dead right is used by North American speakers. Bang on, hmm. I believe it's more of a British English idiom.
North American synonyms for spot on are, that's exactly right, right on (target), and more, depending on the context. What's your context?

Thank you very much. At such a forum as this, if I said "Is the American equivalent of 'spot on' 'exactly'?", then someone might say "(Exactly is) spot on."
