Is there anyone who can help with the meaning of 'Kick in the face' within the content below:

"She's a great advocate, we need more women, but there is one whole part of the criminal justice system she wants to kick in our face. Do we want that? Do we like being kicked in the face?"

In my humble opinion, "a kick in the face" is a figurative, harsh attack. It sounds like "she" is on the speakers side of some political issue, but they know that she will use some information which she knows about the justice system to verbally attack the speaker and his/her group.

That isn't what it says. The first sentence says she wants to kick something in our face, not that she wants to kick us in the face. The last sentence shows that the speaker misunderstood his own metaphor---not surprising, seeing that he garbled it. The speaker's little rant is nonsense.
