reverse 180s, 45s

Dear all,

This is a description of a car chase, but I can't get the highlighted parts. Also I don't know the crucial difference bet. "reverse" and "backwards"!

"WE LOCKED DOWN THESE STREETS GOING 80, 90 MILES AN HOUR BACKWARDS, DOING 180S, REVERSE 180S, 45S RIGHT INTO THE LENS"

I don't know how to translate that.

'Backwards' means 'in reverse'.

180s and 45s means 180 degree spins and 45 degree turns.

And what is the differnece bet. "spins" and "turns" in your answers?

What does he mean by "45 into the lens"? Like what happens exactly?

Spins are rapid handbrake turns - demonstrated here:

45 degree turns means making the car go sideways.

They are probably being filmed, so into the lens will mean facing the camera.
