Default two questions

Hi Teacher,

Could you please tell me the meanings of the following two sentences?

1. Christ! And the feeling that he had let loose a wild, hard rhythm in him
that wouldn't stop.

2. There is a place for scoffers

Thanks a lot.

Default Re: two questions

1- The rhythm sounds like an emotional force that he can't control, that drives him on.
2- A scoffer is a cynical person who pours scorn on things and laughs at them
