Hi...following are two sentences..just let me know which one is correct.I want to also mention that the confusion is only in one word.
1.She needs to be encouraged to produce better results.
2.She needs to be encouraged to produce better result.

In my opinion the first sentence is correct but i want to be sure and ask a learned person...Its veryurgent...plz help me soon.

I'm not sure I qualify as "learned" but anyway, #1 is correct as written. #2 could be correct by stating "a better result" so, either could be correct depending on whether one or more results were expected
