Teacher Re: use Lucy could catch a ball with the glove - Charlie is noted for not being able to catch a ball. Charlie may be thinking that he shouldn't bother trying anymore since Lucy catches balls so well.

I think he was dissapointed that she was very well probably better than him at what she did.
