1. In a letter with the following subject, do I have to capitalize certain words?
Request to remove "Unglowing" blog post regarding Obola
2. Is 'blog post' correct or should it be just 'blog'?
Thanks.

Tan.
Without knowing any more context I can only say that you should ask for the "blog post" or "post" to be removed .. "blog" is short for "web log" and means the site itself, not just the posts on it.
If Obola is a person's name then it should be capitalised as you have it. If it's not a name, then I can't tell what it is or whether you need a capital.

I agree with JMurray. I'd rather see redundant capitals than deliberate use of lower-case letters when capitals should be mandatory.
Bloggers seem to have scant regard for the niceties of standard English, much to the regret of people like me, who seem to be fighting a losing battle.
My shopping list (for my eyes only) looks like this:
sugar
crisps
Persil
coffee
Ryvita
Sprite
toothpaste
Capitalising proper nouns is second nature to me. Call me anally retentive if you want - at least I don't punctuate the list.

MEMO TO SELF: start adding commas to shopping list.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
