Default Can " When it comes to ....." be expressed in another way?

    Hi, there.

I got one question on introductory paragraph of one essay.
when I was going to navigate the paragraph to main topic, some evaluator told me to use " when it comes to ...." .
I think he gave me a function-able expression. But I do like it, because some dictionaries view it as a informal expression, which is not welcome in academic writing.
So could you please explain me how to express the same meaning but with a formal way?
thanks a lot. Looking forward to seeing response soon.

    BR/Richard

Your sentence is fine. The original script is barely comprehensible.
