Please advise which of the following sentences is better, and why:
Character shoes are shoes to wear on stage.
Character shoes are shoes to be worn on stage.
Both are fine.![]()
Character shoes are shoes (for actors/dancers) to wear on stage.
Character shoes are shoes to be worn (by actors/dancers) on stage.
In my language `shoes to be worn` or rather a passive voice of this verb (to wear) implies that the shoes are to be worn out, doesn`t it suggest sth similar in English (by saying `worn` without `out`)
