    Default not more than

    Hi,

Should "not more than" in this sentence be "no more than"?

Most of the images on the website are not more than eye candy.

Why here the sentence uses "not more than"?

    Thanks a lot

I would use "no more than".

Do you agree that "not more than" is correct but depends on one's preference?

    No.

Not more than refers to a number or amount.

'Make sure you're here in not more than ten minutes.'

'Buy plenty of coffee but not more than a kilogram.'

(...no more than... also works in the above examples.)

So the sample sentence is correct, isn't it?
