Dear teachers,
As we've run out of beef, we will have to make do with pork for dinner.
Could you please kindly explain the meaning of "make do"? I can't find it in my dictionary.

Here, "make do" means to work with what's available, to get by in the situation as it is.

If you cannot find a word in your dictionary, you might try OneLook Dictionary Search; it's an excellent resource. A quick check of "make do" showed entries in 13 dictionaries.
