installation with monuments
"When I was in NY I went on a guided tour to the Statue of Liberty, a big copper istallation on Liberty Island." Would you use it when refering to monuments especilally big ones with lights and other things that come along with it?

Re: installation with monuments
I wouldn't; it's a statue or monument to me, not an installation, which would be a temporary exhibition or multimedia art.

Re: installation with monuments
No, it's a single 'thing'. A famous example is the entry for the Turner Prize recently (last year?) which featured an empty room, lit by several fluoescent lights that switched off and on at random intervals. More recently there was one that had various percussion and string instruments in a room, 'played' randomly by the movement of birds. Use Google to find other examples of 'installation art'.
