    Is there anything wrong with the following sentence?

    The chairman demarcated the remits of the employees.

    I have no idea what it means, either. You might want to consider saying this in a simpler way.

    I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    The chairman suggested/presented/recommended/prescribed detailed job descriptions for all employees.
