Dear Colleagues,
I am planning to travel to India to teach underprivileged children English. I am looking for fellow teachers who have experience in teaching under "Indian circumstances". (read: the maximum resources I can expect from the students is a piece of paper and a pencil, and a blackboard from the school).
I am looking forward to hearing from you and your experiences.
Zoltan
I haven't taught in India, but I have taught without resources. It can take a bit of getting used to if you are accustomed to photocopiers, IT rooms, etc, but I found it fun. It places a heavy burden on you, but if you like to improvise in your lessons, then it's good.
