I am just confused with the following sentence. What does it mean "compromise one's ethics"? Thanks very much.
"To succeed in this business, it is often necessary to compromise one’s ethics."

to compromise one's ethics is to go against one's beliefs in order to make a deal or to make some money, apply standards that are lower than desirable.Originally Posted by mikephd
