    Default Present Continuous tense

    In journalistic writing the tendency is to use the above tense.I will like to get material to use as study aid for me to teach my students

    What makes you say that it is journalistic tendency? Journalism often involves events taking place at the time of writing, so many actions will be unfinished. It's not special convention of journalism IMO.
