In a way, "so as to" has a similar function as "so that."
I would like to know how to use "so as to" properly in a sentence.

so as to is the same as saying in order to.

Please, drink a lot of fluids so as to keep your body hydrated.
You should exercise and stay active on daily basis so as to keep your weight down.

after the prepostion to stick with the infinitive form of the verb.

But what's the exact difference between "so as to" and "so...as to"? or the arrangment of the words emphasize different parts of the sentence ?

OK. There is another structure with so + adj. + as to+ infinitive. This one is a bit formal but it's there nevertheless:

" Would you be so kind as to tell me how I get to the Granville Market?"
