When Melinda says her gift to the woman, she scoffs at it saying like the underlined. Is it "You really made me go to the other worldl" or something?

It doesn't mean "You really made me go to the other world".
Context matters here. What it can mean is:
"I was believing everything you were saying, but now I see that you were joking".
or
"I was getting very worried about what you were saying, but now I see that it's not so bad".
.. or something similar.

So, in the example you give, perhaps the woman is saying that she was getting worked up in some way about what Melinda was saying, but once she understood what Melinda actually meant, then she felt more relaxed about it.
