Default After dinner, he used to read books?

If I'm right with all the following examples, please let me know.

    1. After dinner, he used to read books.(general idea of book-reading, the number of books can't be known and doesn't matter here)
    2. After dinner, he used to read a book.(reading one unspecific book)
    3. After dinner, he used to read some(or many) books.(multiple books)

I just want to know the fundamental difference between "read books" and "read a book" as in Korean "read books" has the nuance of reading multiple books, which I guess is not true in English.

---I'm kinda of disappointed as no one is replying.
