    Are the above sentences the same in meaning?

    No. Stuffy room means a hot room but also it has a bad smell because there is no fresh air. Imagine a room that has been closed for a long time.

    Are the above sentences the same in meaning? No. The second sentence is not written correctly.

    The room is very stuffy. The room is probably overly warm and there is little air circulating.

    The room is very hot and it is difficult for us to breathe.
