    Default All is well

"All is well". Here, I have heard this sentence many times.
But I feel about the grammar mistake. Is there any such usages, because I feel this "All are well"
    Thank you

    All here means everything.

All is well = everything is well

It depends on the meaning. As was pointed out, "All is well", means everything is well. One could also say, "All are well", when referring to various people, for example. Try this, "Thanks for asking. All is well here in California and, for my family, all are well."
