How can I say "Comida típica" in English? Comida típica could be like this "typical food"? Am I right? Please I need help with that.
Thanks.
In English this means typical food, or the food served in a particular area. I'm not sure that there is a phrase in English that serves the same purpose as the Spanish phrase does. The nearest I can come to is regional food. The common food served in New Orleans would be different than the common food served in Des Moines. I would call the traditional (in a sense, the common food) food of New Orleans to be Cajun style, but this does not carry the same meaning as comida tipica.
Thank you so much!
