Dear all,

What exactly is the meaning of "Second Gala" in:

"Bono the leader of U2 is a friend of Drogba's. December 2010, for his foundation Second Gala, Bono donated one of his guitars for the auction"

First, it was capitalized. So I dont' know if it's a name of an event!
Second, this word "Gala" gets repeated a lot (esp. in music files I translate). So does it have anything to do with music.

If you provide full explanation and any reference, I would be so grateful.

Also, the "his" refers to "the foundation" in the sense that "it's the second Gala his foundation organize"

OR refers to "Gala" in the sense that "It's the second Gala he organizes to coolect donations"?????
