Hi again,
I was thinking there is an expression in my language I'm quite unable to translate into English.
We use it when we pay for a service, but we make enough use of the service to think that the cost was worth the while.
For example, if I go to a disco and I pay an expensive ticket to go in, I could say: I don't mind paying so much for the ticket. I ***** (this is a verb) it, since I spend the whole time dancing.
Another example: If I buy an e-reader, I am expected to ****** (the verb again) it since e-books are much cheaper and some of them can be downloaded for free.
By the way, in case some of you can speak Spanish, the verb is amortizar.
Thanks

I can't think of a single word that covers this, but there are several phrases that say something similar.
I don't mind paying so much for the ticket, it was well worth it, I had a great time.
The house cost me more than I expected, but it was money well spent considering how it will go up in value.
The sofa cost a lot but it was worth every cent/penny, it'll last for years.
I'm sure there are others.

Hi JMurray, thanks a lot.![]()
In addition to JM's excellent suggestions, you could also say 'I've had my money's-worth'.

You could also say "It was good value for (the) money."
