inserting prepositions
How can we know which is suitable in a word?
for example,
this is applicable for you only .
this is applicable to you only.
in this word, "applicable to" is correct. but how can we insert in , at, on, to, by, over etc before or after a word. is there any rules for that?

I'm afraid you have to learn them by heart. However, you can sometimes 'organise' them a bit. Take a look at this thread (you can use 'search' to find similar threads).
