Default "the" use in a list

What is the correct use in the following sentence:

For Class A and Class B weight coatings, zinc can be applied by either the hot-dip or (the) electrolyte process.

Is a single "the" before the first item of a list sufficient, or do I need a "the" before every item?

Since you have used the word either, implying a choice, the second article
    is optional.
