Gather a company? I need to translate a sentence into English, but I am not sure as to what word fits best here.
If you want to play a game of volleyball, GATHER A COMPANY
(find some friends won't do, I need something with "the company" if possible)

Re: Gather a company? "Gather a company" could mean that, but it's certainly not a thing that comes to mind first. It's not what people say in such situations. Why do you want to use the word "company"?

Teacher Re: Gather a company? A group of friends would form a team to play volleyball against other teams.
If a group wanted to form two teams for an informal game, they would pick sides.
Company doesn't fit either scenario.
