Dear all,
What is the meaning of "buy" in the following context:.
[THE GIRLS RESPONDED VERY WELL, OF COURSE THEY HAVE DONE SOME BOXING TRAINING but THEY WERE ALL EARS, THEY WERE VERY ATTENTIVE HANGING ON EVERY WORD that ARNOLD SAID AND TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS A LEGEND WHO IS SO INSPIRATIONAL AND MOTIVATIONAL YOU CAN’T BUY THAT.]
I don't believe that it means "convince" here, it means something else, I guess
Thanks a lot,
Can it mean that "it's a rare chance"??
Thanks.
Buy means buy, literally.
"You can't buy that" means that it's something you can't just get for money. If you've ever seen MasterCard ads or the countless spoofs of them with the tag-line "Priceless", that's exactly what "you can't buy that" means.
